Luke Del Castillo Joins Gratiot County Democrats in Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival Parade

SHEPHERD, Mich. - Luke Del Castillo, Democratic candidate for Michigan’s 92nd House District, joined the Gratiot County Democratic Party in walking in the Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival Parade on April 26.

The parade was part of the annual Shepherd Maple Syrup Festival, a beloved community tradition that celebrates Shepherd’s maple syrup heritage while bringing together families, local businesses, volunteers, students, and visitors from across mid-Michigan. From pancake meals and maple syrup sales to community events, vendors, and the Grand Festival Parade, the festival highlights the small-town pride and local spirit that make Shepherd special.

“It was wonderful to be in Shepherd and take part in such a meaningful community tradition,” said Luke. “The Maple Syrup Festival is the kind of event that reminds us what makes our small towns strong - neighbors showing up, families celebrating together, and volunteers working hard to keep local traditions alive.”

Luke walked with members and supporters of the Gratiot County Democratic Party, an organization committed to civic engagement, grassroots organizing, and making sure local voices are heard.

“I was proud to walk alongside the Gratiot County Democratic Party,” Luke said. “Their dedication to community, service, and building a stronger future for working families is something I deeply respect.”

Luke’s campaign is focused on making life more affordable, supporting rural downtowns and small businesses, expanding workforce opportunities, and bringing practical, common-sense leadership to Lansing.
